Project MAGEF deals with permanent magnet machine technology. Inspiration is sought (and found) in schemes of motors with permanent magnets, so no wonder one ended up as a logo. Everything revolves, even one letter in the name of the project, and everything is red and blue, just like magnetic poles labels.
